A GIS-based technique analysis of land use and land cover change detection in taluka Mirpur Mathelo: A case study in district Ghotki, Pakistan

Land use and land cover changes at the regional scale are necessary for a wide range of uses, including planning, global warming, erosion, landslide, etc. In this study, change detection were studied by using remote sensing GIS in taluka Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki. For purpose, ArcGIS 10.3 software was used. Firstly, supervised classification performance applied to Landsat imageries which acquired 2013-2020. Image six bands carried out via maximum likelihood process with help ground trothing data signature file both images 2013-2020 year. The second part focused on evaluated overlapping images. results study indicated that severe has occurred area during total relative settlement is 2439.45 ha (1.94%) years. 592.38 (0.47%) changed vegetation cover. A 3.16 (3.16 %) sand area. While barren land/plain -5094.63 (-4.06%) -1906.2 (-1.52%) shortage water body. It been seen decrease waterbody converted into more some portion agriculture.
